Make Ahead Alfredo Sauce
Bottle this up in the fridge or freeze in a plastic container to quickly whip up a homemade meal anytime!
What you will need
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
2 Tbsp AP Flour
1 1/2 cups Whole Milk
1 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp ground Black Pepper

Gather all ingredients.

Portion all ingredients.

Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Sprinkle in the flour and stir for 2 minutes until lightly browned and toasty smelling with small bubbles.

Pour in milk about 1/4 cup at a time and stir until fully incorporated before adding the next portion of milk.

Switch to a whisk if it becomes lumpy. Continue adding milk slowly until all incorporated and sauce is smooth.

Stir in salt, pepper and parmesan cheese once the milk is all incorporated. The sauce will thicken a bit.

Remove the sauce from the heat once the cheese has melted in. The sauce will thicken as it cools so better to keep it a little on the thinner side.

Sauce can be served immediately or kept in a jar in the fridge for up to a week or in a plastic airtight container in the freezer for a couple months. Just stir into hot pasta straight from the fridge or freezer!
