Simple Dhal with Baguette

What you will need
SPICE
1 tbsp butter or ghee
1 tsp mustard seed / 1 tsp cumin seed
2 dried pepper Chili /5 curry leaves
1 big onion 6 mini sweet tomato
2 garlic , 1 inch ginger fine dice or pounded
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
DAL AND SPICE
1 cup dhal / 3 cup water
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp Chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp butter

Wash dhal , drain then then add 3 cup of water and season with salt ,turmeric Chili powder and mix well

With Butter sauté the cumin seed and mustard seed till it pop then add in the dried Chili and onion then sauté for half a minute

Add in the garlic and ginger with the coriander powder ,garam masala and tomato with a dash of Chili powder

Sauté till fragrant for another 1 to 2 minutes then pour all the spice into the cooked dhal and let it simmer for another 5 minutes till it’s thicken up and creamy

Off heat and let it rest for half an hour then enjoy with some prata or baguette
