What you will need

For marination

chicken(thigh pieces) – 650 grams

turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

salt – 1 tsp

red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp

pepper powder – 1/4 tsp

coriander powder – 1 tsp

cloves – 4

cardamoms – 4

cinnamon – 1 inch

ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp

yogurt – 3 tbsp

mint leaves – 1 sprigs

For Rice

basmati rice – 400 grams

water – for soaking

For Dal

tuvar dal/split red gram – 75 grams

water – 300 ml

turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

For Chicken dal pulao

thinly sliced onions – 1 big

green chillies – 5 or 6

bay leaves – 2

ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp

turmeric powder – a pinch

garam masala – 1/4 tsp

salt – as needed

water – 825 ml

ghee/clarified butter – 1 tsp

mint leaves – 2 sprigs

chopped coriander leaves – 1/4 cup

For Serving

eggs – 2

oil – 1 tsp

salt – a pinch

pepper – 1/4 tsp

lemon – 1/2
