Chicken or Meat Cutlet – Kerala Style Chicken Cutlet


A very popular meat cutlet in Kerala. Perfect evening snack served along with tea.

What you will need

Chicken or beef or mutton (boneless)- 1 Lb or ½ Kg

Chili powder- 1½ tsp

Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp

Coriander powder- 2 tsp

Fennel powder- 1 tsp

Garam Masala- 1 tsp

Salt- to taste

Oil- 1 tbsp

Onion, finely chopped- 2

Ginger-Garlic paste- 1 tbsp

Green chilies, finely chopped- 2

Garam masala-1 tsp

Already Cooked-shredded meat

Cilantro chopped-1 handful

Potatoes boiled and mashed - 2 (cook in microwave or in boiling water)

Salt-to taste

Eggs beaten (use just egg whites or both)- 2

Bread crumbs plain-1 cup

Oil- enough for frying
