Thai Hot and Sweet Chicken Stir Fry

 

Thai style chicken and veggie stir fry, aromatic and delicious... One of my favorite cuisines is Thai cuisine. Thai dishes are aromatic, refreshing and delicious. In this dish, chicken coated with flour is first shallow fried, then combined with veggies and a nice sweet sauce is poured over it and stir fried. Brown sugar imparts the sweetness and dry red chili flakes gives a nice hotness to this dish. What you will need

Chicken Breast or thighs, diced- 2

All purpose flour- ¼ cup

Salt- ¼ tsp

Ground pepper- ⅛ tsp

Soy sauce- 4 tbsp

Rice vinegar- ¼ cup

Brown sugar- ¼ cup

Water- ¼ cup

Oil- 2 tbsp (used for shallow frying chicken)

Garlic, chopped- 1 tbsp

Ginger, chopped- 1 tbsp

Dry red chili flakes- ½ to 1 tsp

Onion, sliced- 1

Celery, diced- 2 stalks

Broccoli florets- of ½ broccoli

Spring onions, chopped- 2 stalks

Cilantro, chopped- 2 handfuls

Fresh Basil leaves, chopped- 5 leaves

Oil- ¼ to ½ cup, for shallow frying chicken
