1 yellow onion (medium, diced)
2 carrots (medium, diced)
2-3 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tablespoon parsley (minced)
9 ounces dry beans (brown)
2 bay leaves
¼ teaspoon peppercorn
½ teaspoon seasoned salt
1 9-oz kielbasa (pork, turkey or chicken)
Salt (optional)

1 tablespoon fat (lard, or butter)
⅓ cup oil
½ tablespoon paprika
½ tablespoon white flour
