¼ cup toor dal / kandi pappu

½ tsp cumin

3 red chilies or green chilies (slit)

2 small garlic cloves

Small piece of tamarind

salt to taste

1 sprig curry leaves

1 garlic clove crushed

1 broken red chili or green chili

¼ tsp cumin

¼ tsp mustard

1 tbsp. Oil
