Korean Bbq Chicken Burgers with Grilled Pineapple and Gochujang Bbq Sauce


Burgers flavoured Korean BBQ style with grilled pineapple, gochujang BBQ sauce, slaw, bacon and feta.

What you will need

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup gochjang (Korean chili paste)

2 tablespoons mirin

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon garlic grated

1 tablespoon ginger grated

2 teaspoons sesame oil

4 cups romaine lettuce, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean chili powder)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

1 pound ground chicken

1/3 cup pineapple, finely chopped and squeezed of excess liquid

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, chopped

2 teaspoons ginger, grated

2 green onions, finely sliced

1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs (gluten-free for gluten-free)

4 slices bacon, cut in half

4 buns (gluten-free for gluten-free)

4 pineapple slices

1 onion, sliced

1/4 cup feta, crumbled (optional)

1/2 cup cilantro
