Merguez Corn Dogs

 

A tasty corn dog recipe, using your favorite sausage or hot dogs, batter-fried. From "On a Stick!" by Matt Armendariz

What you will need

12 merguez sausages, (cooked and sliced in half crosswise, or 4 hot dogs)

3/4 cup (110g) flour

3/4 cup (105g) cornmeal

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/8 teaspoon baking soda

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

3/4 cup (180ml) whole milk

1 large egg

1 quart (1L) vegetable oil, (for frying)
