Pancit Molo (filipino Wonton Soup)

 

Pancit Molo is a version of won ton soup but it usually has extra noodles added throughout. Instead of extra noodles, I added a few of my favorite veggies (bok choy, mushrooms, carrots, and scallions). The key (and don't skimp out on this!) is to make your own broth. It totally changes the taste of the soup than if you just used pre-made broth, and it doesn't require that much effort!

What you will need

1 14-oz. packet square wonton wrappers

1 pound ground pork

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 large white onion, diced

1/2 cup scallions, diced

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 pound bone-in chicken

1/2 large white onion, diced

2 whole cloves garlic

2 bay leaves

32 ounces chicken stock

5-7 cups hot water

1 teaspoon black pepper (or black peppercorns)

1 tablespoon fish sauce
