Pistachio Cake with Roasted Plum Buttercream

What you will need

2 1/2 cups cake flour, sifted

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon lemon or orange zest (from about 1/2 orange)

4 large eggs

1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1/2 cup pistachio paste (I used this product)

2 black plums

1/4 cup white granulated sugar

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

3 tablespoons water

Pinch of salt

3 sticks butter

5-6 cups powdered sugar (575-690grams)

1 tablespoon vanilla extract
