Slow-cooker Red Beans and Rice


Easy, delicious (and healthy) recipe for a warm winter classic.

What you will need

16 ounces dried red kidney beans

12 ounces andouille, turkey or meatless sausage, thinly sliced

3 celery stalks, chopped

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

3/4 red onion, chopped

4 garlic cloves, chopped

1 tablespoon Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix

Salt and pepper to taste

Brown or white rice

Hot sauce for garnishing (optional)
