Thanksgiving Sausage, Ham and Apple Stuffing

A delicious 2-meat stuffing that's crunchy on top and tender underneath. A Thanksgiving side dish that'll have everyone going back for seconds!

What you will need

1 lb French bread, cut into cubes

1 Tbsp vegetable oil

1lb good quality sausage, outer skin removed

3 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 large onion, peeled and finely chopped

1 cup celery, finely chopped

1 cup sharp apples (such as granny smith or bramley), peeled and chopped into small cubes and tossed in 1 tbsp lemon juice (to stop them turning brown)

1/2 cup shredded cooked ham

2 tsp dried thyme

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup milk

1 large egg, lightly beaten

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
