Tried using this shortcut to make baby leggings and it worked!

What you will need

1 pair adult socks (I used size 10-13)

Sewing machine

Elastic

How to do this project

Play

Cut the ends of both socks

e sock inside out and put the right side out sock inside the other one.

Cut the bottom part of the sock until the middle of the heel. Then, turn one sock inside out and put the right side out sock inside the other one.

Pin around the edges like in the video below and sew where you pinned.

se you have to stretch the elastic way more than you stretch the fabric. Mine did not come perfectly. It's really tricky!

using a zigzag, sew the end of the elastic to make it look better :)

Once the elastic is secure in place, turn the waist around the elastic and using a zigzag, sew the end of the elastic to make it look better :)
