How to do this project
1
Cut out stock for face frame
2
Build face frame
3
Cut out sides (3/4 cypress)
4
Cut out floor, shelf, and partitions
5
Build cabinet box using cut out plywood
6
Nail on face frame
7
Putty and sand (80 grit, 120 grit, and 220 grit sandpaper)
8
Trim (router) excess face frame from cabinet sides
9
Stain cabinet (custom mixture of dark walnut/ebony) using hvlp sprayer
10
After wiping, let stain dry (min 3 hours, preferably 24 hours).
11
Spray 2 coats of sanding sealer. (Spray, let it dry, spray ,let it dry.)
12
After second coat of sealer dries, the wood grain will raise and be rough. Use a foam sanding block (I use 150 grit) to sand down raised wood grain until smooth.
13
After sanding cabinet smooth, spray top coat (1 coat). Once it dries, the wood grain will raise slightly. Use foam block to lightly sand until smooth.
14
Spray a second coat of top coat, let it dry. You're Done! Just that easy! Now my wife's happy therefore I am as well 😁
