Fighter Plane
Small toy plane
Based on the Brazilian Tucano fighter jet
What you will need
Wood (i used 3 types: body, wings, rear wings)
Sand paper
Sanding machine
Vise
Rasp
File
Small nails
Small screws
Sealant or wax
How to do this project
1

Draw the plane side
2

Cut it with jig/band saw (horizontally for the shape, vertically to make the nose and tail thinner)
3

Secure it on the vise and round the edges with a gasp or file
4

Sand it to perfection
5

Cut the base of it to fit the wings (I used a hand router, but forgot to take pictures of the process - sorry) same thing in the tail
6

Mark the wings shape and depth - I don't own a band saw and the jigsaw isn't deep enough, so I used the sanding machine to get to the desired depth)
7

Drill guide holes on the wings base
8

Glue with epoxy super compound glue and screw it together - be careful so you dont crack the wings applying too much torque on the screws!!
9

Apply the finish you prefer (sealant, in this case, but oil would be really nice too)
10

Ta-daaaa!
11

I used a file to make the cockpit line
