This was my first crack at mortise and tenon joinery. I used African mahogany and ambrosia maple. I created this for a friend of mine who had commented that he wished he had a small table to pray at. I’m pleased with how it looks. I’m currently building one for my wife out of walnut and maple.

and a mortise press for the mortises. Cleaned everything up with a chisel and sandpaper. Props to my wife on the finish work

Basically it’s cut, glue, wait, repeat. I used a table saw for the tenons and a mortise press for the mortises. Cleaned everything up with a chisel and sandpaper. Props to my wife on the finish work
