What you will need

6/4 or 8/4 lumber (approximately 45 b/f)

Router and router table

entry door router bit set ( I prefer the sets from Infinity Cutting Tools)

Sharp Chisels

How to do this project

Play
patience to make them go together well. I prefer at least a 2” extended tenon with draw bore pins to lock them in place. When making doors with floating panels be sure to make the panels about an 1/8” smaller, all the way around, than the size of the opening. Use rubber panel spacers, also called space balls, to fill the gap. This will allow for expansion and contraction throughout seasons without stress.
