Scrap Wood Cell Phone Holder
I love scrap wood projects that means it's free
My cell phone always falls to the floor every time the phone rings when I'm in my shop because all my Outlets are chest-high so I'm going to try to fix that problem because I really don't want my phone to break
What you will need
Scrap wood
Wood glue
Your favorite type of beer
Common shop tools
Graphite paper
A wood-burning tool
If you don't want to do any wood-burning you can put a sticker on it or do anything you want
How to do this project
1
Get some scrap wood you got laying around glue it together to fit whatever your cell phone sizes plus enough room for a picture
2
Sand it down and clean it do whatever it is you gotta do to make it smooth
3
Is an graphite paper Trace over whatever image that you want and burn it into the wood
4
Trace your cell phone below your image I used a chisel set to hollow out the wood you might be able to get away with your router if you have a smaller router I use the chisel set because I just bought it last month and I wanted to take it for a test drive I would recommend the chisel set because this process has to be precise you have got to have a snug fit with your cell phone in the wood
5
Make sure your cell phone fits in snug get you some kind of drill bit and drill out the corner Edge so you are able to fit your finger in it and slide your cell phone out
6
Grab your cell phone charger bore out a whole out of the bottom for your cell phone charger cord to slide thru
7
Sand everything down
8
Run it through a router with your favorite bit I used a 5/32 Roman ogee but be careful I chipped away at where the charging cord goes
9
Add your favorite finish I used poly wipe on
10
Screw on to the wall in the carved in the area so you can't see the screws when the phone is in
