The way it turned out with a more natural, rustic look despite struggling to learn how to cut a hole in the lid for the plexiglass.

Plexi Glass, 2x6
How to do this project

Cut 2x6 to size, plunge router on the lid, still learning how to do joinery so I used a nailer and glue. Jigsaw cut the sectional pieces inside the box.
