4 oz Fresh Basil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/4 cup Pine Nuts
1 clove Garlic
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Olive Oil

How to cook
Gather and portion ingredients.
Add garlic clove and pine nuts to the base of a food processor. Process until the nuts are like coarse sand.
Add the salt and parmesan to the food processor.
Pluck the basil leaves from the stem and add to the food processor.
Pour in the olive oil.
Process the pesto until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
