Popular At Bay Area Burmese Joints
I had something like this at a little burmese takeout spot the other day and decided to try and recreate it.
What you will need
Cooking oil
1 yellow onion
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp crushed black pepper
1 tsp kashmiri chili
1 lb ground chicken

1
A little oil in the pan. Medium heat.
2
Add some sliced onions. Let em cook down.
3
Meanwhile, prepare the spices. About a teaspoon each of garam masala, kashmiri chili, and black pepper.
4
Peel and grate a little ginger and mix the ginger with the spices. Smells amazing.
5
Man, those onions are looking good, lets add the spices. Stir em around a bit. Let them cook gently for a few minutes. Then add the water and a splash of vinegar for some good ole tang. Let that reduce.
6
Water's mostly gone, we can add the ground turkey now. The pan should be pretty hot here. Season it up with a little salt and you're good to go.
7
This stuff is great over rice. I garnished with some green onion.
