Who doesn't love the classic Caprese pairing of Mozzarella, tomato, and fresh basil. Paired with crispy bread
What you will need
8 slices Crusty Bread
8 oz Fresh Mozzarella
1 slicing Tomato
pinch Salt
pinch Black Pepper
.5 oz Fresh Basil
1 Tbsp Butter

Gather and portion ingredients.

Slice the fresh mozzarella.

Slice the tomatoes.

Sprinkle the sliced tomato with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Add a few leaves of fresh basil.

Add another layer of cheese if you like and put the sandwich together.

Add a pat of butter (or olive oil) to a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich on top of the butter.

Top the skillet with a lid. This will help evenly melt the cheese. Flip once bread is golden brown and cheese begins to melt. Then grill on the other side. Add more butter if needed.
