Sorry the photo doesn't do justice, but I love this stuff. If you get the pepper right, you end up with a killer vegan gravy. Reminds me of KFC.
What you will need
1 head cauliflower
¼ tsp fresh ground black pepper
How to cook
Trim and cut the cauliflower.
Submerge in boiling water. Cook until tender, 5-10 minutes
Transfer to blender.
Grind your pepper.
Puree the cauliflower, adding small amounts of the cooking liquid to adjust the consistency.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
The trick here is to be aggressive with the black pepper. It should be pretty intense.
