1 loaf Crusty Bread

How to cook
Gather and portion ingredients.
Peel and cut onions into quarters. Thinly slice.
Add some olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Stir occasionally for about 15 minutes or until nicely browned and caramelized.
Add a bit of olive oil to the a skillet over medium heat. Cover a slice of bread with a generous layer of gruyere. Add a nice layer of caramelized onions and the top piece of bread.
