Homemade Chocolate Pudding
When you have a little too much milk laying around, this is a great dessert recipe to use it up! The kids will love it.
What you will need
1 1/3 cup Sugar
2/3 cup Cocoa Powder
1/3 cup Cornstarch
pinch of Salt
4 1/2 cups Milk
4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Gather and portion ingredients.

Add the cocoa powder, sugar, cornstarch, and salt to a sauce pot. Whisk to combine.

Turn heat to medium high and whisk the milk into the pot.

Bring the pudding up to a simmer.

Let simmer for about 5 minutes while you stir until the pudding is thickened. It will set more when it cools.

Remove the pot from the stove and stir in the butter and vanilla extract.

Cover the surface of the pudding with plastic so that a skin doesn't form. Refrigerate.
