How to Chop a Green Bell Pepper

Wash your pepper. Use a sharp chef's knife for the best result. There are many ways to cut bell peppers, but I find that this way maximizes the yield.

Slice the pepper in half and use your fingers to peel out the stem and seeds. Tap the pepper half against your palm to remove any loose seeds.

Use the knife to cut off the pith inside the pepper. Cut the pepper into segments so the knife can easily reach the pith. Alternatively, you can usually peel out the white pith with your fingers.

Hold the pepper steady while you chop thin slices through the pepper.

If you want diced peppers, turn your thin slices and cut across into a small dice.
