Wash the bunch of cilantro and remove the leaves from the stem. The texture of the stem can be tough, so it is best to remove it before chopping.

Continue to remove the leaves you would like to chop from the stems.

Chop through the pile of cilantro leaves a few times through until you get the rough size you are looking for. Remember to scrape off the knife and push the cilantro into a pile a few times while chopping.

Use immediately or store in a bag for a couple days. Once chopped, cilantro doesn't last long, so chop only as you need it.
