How to Slice a Mango
If you've never prepared a mango before, here's a quick introduction. First things first, make sure your mango is ripe. Much like an avocado, just squeeze gently and if it gives slightly, it's good to go.

How to cook
A mango seed is shaped like a mango. And it's firmly embedded in the flesh of the mango. So, you will need to slice it out. I like to start by tilting the mango so that it is symmetrical when looking down on it and slicing off the sides of the mango on either side of the pit.
Then, slice around the pit, following the shape of the mango as a guide to keep close to the pit.
Scoop the flesh from the peel with a knife or a large spoon.
Slice it up and enjoy.
