1
When picking out a squash at the store, choose one with stem intact, free of soft spots and blemishes. Pick out a squash that feels heavy for its size because this is a sign that it is fresh.
2
Store the squash in a cool dark place. In this environment the squash should last for two to three months.
3
Once cut, store the squash in a bag or other air tight container in the fridge or freezer. Raw squash will last in the freezer for a long time but is best if used within a year.
4
Or use a tupperware to keep the squash fresh in the fridge for 4 days.
