Try this super quick soda bread that is cooked in a skillet. Best eaten with butter and jam or alonside some hearty beef stew.

2 cups AP Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Buttermilk

Gather and portion ingredients.

Add the baking soda and salt to the flour in a mixing bowl.

Stir the dry ingredients together and slowly stir in the buttermilk untill a dough forms.

Dust the work surface with flour and knead the dough a few times. Pat into a circle about 1 inch thick.

With a sharp knife, slice the circle into four pieces or farls.

Set the stovetop to medium heat and coat at the bottom and sides of a skillet with butter.

Add the soda farls to the skillet and leave to cook for about 6 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly browned.

Flip the soda farls to the other side and cook for another 6-10 minutes on low. Be careful to cook the bread through to the center without burning the outside.
