Naturally Dyed Easter Eggs

This is a really unique way to color eggs for Easter! The colors are surprisingly vibrant and it's fun to see how they turn out! I reccomend using white eggs if you can.

What you will need

12 Eggs

BEETS: RED

1 Red Beet

5 cups Water

5 Tbsp Distilled White Vinegar

YELLOW ONION PEELS: ORANGE

3 Yellow Onions

3 cups Water

3 Tbsp Distilled White Vinegar

PURPLE CABBAGE: GREEN-BLUE

1/2 head Purple Cabbage

5 cups Water

5 Tbsp Distilled White Vinegar

TURMERIC: YELLOW

1 Tbsp ground Turmeric

3 cups Water

2 Tbsp Distilled White Vinegar

RED ONION PEELS: RED-BROWN

3 Red Onions

3 cups Water

2 Tbsp Distilled White Vinegar

BLUEBERRIES: GREY-VIOLET

1 cup frozen Blueberries

3 cups Water

2 Tbsp Distilled White Vinegar

Gather and portion all ingredients. Before beginning, hard boil the eggs.

MAKE DYES

Collect the peel of about 3 yellow onions into a medium-sized sauce pan.

Add three cups of water and bring to a simmer for about 30 minutes.

Take all of the dye mixtures off of the stove to cool. Strain the onion peel out of the water and add the vinegar. Pop the eggs into the dye and let sit for 1 hour up to overnight for deeper coloring.
