Prosciutto and Fig-jam Sandwich
A perfect combination of ingredients to go in between two pieces of bread. This homemade fig jam is fun to make and can be saved to enhance many other meals!
What you will need
1 Baguette
8 oz Mozzarella Cheese
4 oz Prosciutto
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 oz Arugula
1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
pinch Salt
pinch Black Pepper
FIG JAM
10 oz Dried Figs
1 1/2 cups Water
3 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

Gather all ingredients.

Portion all ingredients.

Remove any stems that may be still attached to the figs.

Add water, figs, and sugar to a saucepan.

Simmer the figs and water until there is barely any water left. Gently crush the figs as they cook.

Slice the baguette into 3 or 4 pieces, slice in half.

Slice the mozzarella into 1/4 inch slices.

Drizzle olive oil and balsamic over the arugula.

Season the arugula with a pinch of pepper and salt.

Add the figs to the bowl of a food processor. Drizzle in the lemon juice.

Pulse the figs in the food processor until smooth.
