If you need a super quick dessert, all you need for this is less than 30 mins, apples, puff pastry, butter, and sugar.

1/2 of a package of frozen puff pastry
2 apples
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter

Gather and portion ingredients.

Set oven to 400 degrees

Flour the workspace a little if the pastry is sticking. Use a rolling pin to roll the pastry out into a long rectangle.

Cut the pastry in half into two long rectangles. Score the edges with about a 1/2 inch border.

Place the pastry on a baking sheet prepared with a sheet of parchment paper.

Wash and core the apples.

Slice the apples thinly.

Brush the pastry with butter and add the apples to the top overlapping one another.

Continue to layer the apples overlapping in one strip. Keep the apple slices inside the scored border.

Use a pastry brush to brush the tops of the apples and the edges of the pastry with melted butter.
