You don't need a massive paella pan to make a good paella. Also, it's not difficult to make a good paella. Break out that skillet and you can have this on the table in 30 minutes or less.
What you will need
½ lb Chorizo
3 cloves Garlic
3 cups Chicken Broth
1 ½ cups Arborio Rice
1 cup Frozen Peas
½ lb Fresh Shrimp
10 threads Saffron
Salt, as needed
Ground Black Pepper, as needed

Peel and crush the 3 cloves of garlic.

Slice the sausage into rounds, about 1/2" wide.

With all of the ingredients prepared, you're ready to start cooking.

In a heavy skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage slices on both sides.

Clear a little space in the pan, ideally where there's a little sausage grease pooled. Stir the garlic into the grease.

Add the chicken broth. Stir to break up the crushed garlic.

Stir in the rice. Try to get it evenly spread across the bottom of the pan.

Add a good pinch of saffron.

Add a little salt and pepper. Cover the pan and hold at a gentle simmer for about 20 minutes.

Scatter the frozen peas over the top.

Arrange the shrimp on top of that. Press them down into the rice slightly.

Replace the lid and cook for an additional 10 minutes to steam the shrimp and cook the frozen peas.
