Chorizo Queso
Gild chips, quesadillas, nachos, tacos and more in this cheesy gold.
What you will need
1 Jalapeno
1 lb American Cheese
10 oz Chorizo
1/2 cup Milk
6 oz Queso Fresco
Tortilla chips, optional

Gather and portion ingredients.

Remove stem and slice in half. Take out the seeds, slice into strips and dice.

Add the chopped jalapeno to a saucepan over medium heat.

Pour in the milk.

Crumble the queso fresco into the milk.

Add the American cheese into the pot as well.

Stir over medium heat until the cheese is melted and smooth

While the cheese melts, add the chorizo to a skillet over medium-high heat to brown. Cook for a few minutes until cooked and a bit crispy.

Top the queso with the chorizo crumbles and serve with your favorite chips. If not eating immediately, it's best to keep warm in a slow cooker! Stir occasionally to prevent a skin from forming on top.
