Kalamata Olive Hummus
simple homemade olive, chickpea dip
Hummus is better when it's fresh and homemade, and it's so cheap and easy that buying the pre-made stuff really doesn't make any sense. Whip it up yourself in 5 minutes or less.
What you will need
15.5 oz (440 g) garbanzo beans, cooked
1/2 cup (50 g) pitted kalamata olives
1 tbsp (6 g) cumin
3 cloves garlic
2 lemons
1/2 cup (120 g) tahini
Olive oil, as needed
Salt, as needed
How to cook

Start with a healthy pinch of salt. As you're blending, take a break to taste and decide if it needs more salt.

If serving to guests, garnish with olive oil and chopped olives.
