Picadillo Cubano
A quick and simple version of the Cuban classic. Serve with rice and beans.
What you will need
5 oz. Pitted Green Olives
1 lb Ground Beef
8 oz. Tomato Sauce
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Gound Cumin
Olive Oil
Salt
OPTIONAL
8 oz. Precooked Rice, optional
14 oz. can Pinto Beans, optional
4 oz. Sour Cream, optional

Collect the ingredients.

Roughly chop the green olives.

Heat some olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef and break it apart.

Add onion powder.

Add dried oregano.

Add ground cumin. Stir to mix the spices into the meat as it browns.

Add the chopped green olives.

Add the tomato sauce.

Simmer for 5-10 minutes to cook the ground beef and reduce the sauce to the desired consistency.

Season as needed with salt and pepper.

Heat up the precooked rice. This package only needs 90 seconds in the microwave.

Warm up the beans as you see fit. Heating them in a nonstick pan over high heat is probably the fastest option.

Serve with rice and beans. Add a little sour cream if you like.
